EDUCATION

Education brings about positive changes in our world. For example, decreased carbon emission can be achieved via introduction of renewabl sources of energy such as solar system. But on this photo, Kids in Old Fangak, South Sudan, look healthy thanks to availability of clean drinking water that has been made possible by provision of energy through solar pannels. Sincere appreciation to efforts rendered by Dr. Jill of Alsaka, USA.

In South Sudan, a boy like the one on this photo polishes shoes in order to feed himself, whereas children of his ages in other parts of the world are at schools. Without education, children like this boy are denied their basic rights. The UN's charter on children' rights does not appear to be an obligation in that part of the world, can world's leaders ensure that the charter is implimented by member states?

Children in many parts of undeveloped countries are not only obliged to work for living they are also denied their rights to life. On this photo, a child is one of thousands of children who are under UN's protection due to ethnic killing in South Sudan. World's leaders should work together to ensure that children's rights-including right to life-are protected.
